The Plot
In every angel a demon hides, And in every demon, an angel strides. Neel is a self-proclaimed demon, a slave to his desires, putting at stake even the purest of relationships for it. He lives for himself, takes life as it comes, and considers people who love as emotional fools.
When he first sets his eyes on his new landlady, a widow who is eleven years elder to him, all he can see is an opportunity. He has a plan to get rich and is working hard to achieve it until he bumps into Pihu. She is an immature teenager who likes Neel for no apparent reason and blindly believes that he is an angel who will take away all her life’s troubles.
Neel hates Pihu for her unexplained obsession, and her being a hindrance in his plan, but her firm resolve to see a good person in him shakes Neel to the core. Will Pihu make a difference? Does inner transformation come to a man who has gone to a point of no return?

What I liked about the book
The book takes you on a journey with the protagonist as you are witnessing the events while sitting in the front seat of the car, alongside the driver. The protagonist is not supposed to be a likable person. You question yourself on whether you should like him or not! The story unwinds beautifully, and there is a lot that is not seen till you turn a certain amount of pages. You start with feeling something else and then end up making a fool of yourself, I did! Anyways, the character of Pihu where stands irritating and a lot of trouble, still somewhere you fall for her innocence. The characters are written good, not layered but good. I liked how this story is not just a love story because it has a lot more to offer.
What I did not like about the book
As the protagonist is not really likable and his psychological mindset is just treated as an acquired asset rather than a disease. He is forgiven very easily for the person he is, and that is actually not something I would advise you to do in real life. If you meet someone like Neel in real life, either RUN or just make him see a doctor. I would have liked if this significant part of the storyline had been handled better. Conclusion
I am not a romance person. This was my 2nd fiction novel right after "For the sake of love" And from the title, I anticipated it to be a romance fiction. Throughout the book, I didn't feel like ah! Boring! Or this is the same old shit, girl and boy meet and fall in love and in order to retain their love, they have to undergo a lot of hardships and handle a ton of turbulence. Nah! Nothing like that. For a person like me, I feel it was a decent read and that is why I gave it 4 stars. If you are a romance person, I can't think of a reason why you shouldn't pick this book up, oh yeah! It is not a romance novel! So, pick it up as "not a romance novel" and you will love it!
