Review

What I liked about the Book

INKREDIA Luwan of Brida is the first book in the series. The book takes you with Luwan and his sister, Meg on a mis-adventurous journey.
It opens with a lot of mystery and expectations. You turn the pages to know what will happen next. The story starts with a simple plot but you are made to realize that you failed to interpret what is next to come. From supernatural beings to books coming to life (to an extent), the book offers it all. It is a book that forces you to think and only good books can do that. Filled with the perfect dose of magic and fantasy, the book offers the best to its capability to the readers.
I like the way the characters are portrayed. The dilemma, confusion, strength, trauma, and other emotions are very well executed. Every character has a story, a background, a purpose and this you can feel throughout the course of the book.
The cover also contributes to the story the book has to offer and is crafted well. So Kudos! for that. I love a good cover and not like I judge a book by its cover but then why not invest in a good cover!
When you turn the cover (that you would if you have to read the book), it has a map. A freaking map! I liked the touch, it made me realize how much effort had been put into designing the whole story and I appreciate the author and the team for that.
A fantasy book with mystical creatures each with its own powers and drawbacks carefully designed and clearly listed.

What I did not like about the Book

So, after all the appreciation let's come to the tiny bits that I did not like. First, in the middle of the book, I had to struggle to keep going because it seemed like a stretch and not relevant as per me at that point. This is not something that actually is a really bad thing that should encourage you to not buy the book but still worth the mention.
I was expecting to see a lot from Meg in the book but I didn't. I talked to the author about the same and he says, he has something for Meg in the coming parts and I hope I see more of her but this was my complaint from the book.

Conclusion

The book is a good change in the basic genres in the market. It has a lot to offer to the reader and the story and the characters are crafted very well. The book is a must read Indian Fantasy if you are looking to upgrade your bookshelf with something new from an Indian author. It is a bit slow paced in the middle but with the effortless writing and an amazing plot, the book is a must-have.
