“Each one of us is present somewhere in the corridor of life the only difference is some are ahead, and some are behind…”
Corridors of Life is a self-help book. It guides you to make your way through the hurdles of life. In the book, the author talks about Life, Negative feelings, Relationships and a lot of other things over the course of 33 short chapters. Each chapter is accompanied by a quote written by the author himself.
What I liked
So, what I liked about the book is the fact that is a self-help book that targets the teenagers. During the teenage a person goes through a lot of changes concerning feelings, mental health, peer groups, etc. and a guide to help them through it is essential. This book can be that guide. The book talks about a lot of issues everyone faces in life like in understanding life, relationships, people around us. He also writes about the possible solutions to the obstacles we all face. The author quotes numerous examples from his personal life that make you relate to the book and the things he is talking about. I really liked how he compiled significant life experiences in 160 pages with a proper focus on each of them.
What I did not like
The book had a lot of mistakes in editing and writing. This caused irregularity in my reading and hampered my reading experience. I had to go through the same sentence twice or thrice to extract the exact meaning. That was the disappointing part about the book. Moreover, I feel the author could have done a bit more to indulge the reader from the very beginning.
Conclusion
To me, the reading experience is really important, and I can’t ignore the fact that the irregularities in the book did hamper my experience. But if you are unlike me who can overlook some editing and grammatical errors, then you should really buy this book. This book could have been better, and I expect a lot from this author in his next book. As he says that one should look at the positive aspects of their work.
